The 2025 TANYS (Theatre Association of New York State) Festival will be taking place Friday Nov 21 and Saturday Nov 22 in Rome, NY, at the Capitol Theatre. Peter Kobor, our BMI Sales Manager handling New York State, will be manning a BMI Supply table at the festival.
As with years past, BMI Supply will be sponsoring the TANYS Design Competition. The deadline for online submissions has already passed - so entrants can submit any in-person work on Wednesday, November 19th to be set up at the festival.
There are a wide array of design categories to work within: Scenic, Costuming, Lighting, Makeup, Hair, Sound, Special Effects, Technical, and Graphics.
From there, the competition adjudicator will determine best overall design, and that individual will be eligible for a $100 reward. One or more $25 rewards may be rewarded to best design within a specific category.
