Growing tired of a demanding production schedule? Looking to have your weekends back? BMI Supply, a leading supplier and contractor to the Entertainment Industry, is seeking a Sales Manager. In this unique position, the Sales Manager is responsible for a range of duties including:
- Serving as customer adviser for quotations, orders, technical guidance, and project planning
- Providing friendly, timely, and thorough service for hardworking customers
- Evaluating new products and manufacturers to improve overall product selection for customers
- Attending occasional tradeshows (1 or 2 per year) and supporting outside sales opportunities to reinforce existing customer relationships and attract new clientele
- Working as a team member supporting other Sales Managers and sales staff
The ideal candidate will have a broad working knowledge of technical theater and/or event production, including experience with lighting, rigging, scenic construction, and audio. Other important characteristics include strong communication skills, computer skills, and the ability to multitask efficiently. A degree in technical theater or a similar field is preferred (but not required), along with a minimum of 3 years hands-on industry experience. BMI Supply's main office is located just outside the Adirondack Park in Queensbury, NY, with a secondary office space in Rolling Meadows, IL (just outside Chicago). BMI Supply is a steadily growing company with 37 years of service to the industry. Our competitive compensation includes health coverage, 401k, paid vacation, and more. This role has a base salary + commission structure yielding a starting pay rate of approximately $70,000.00 per year.
